Using Functional Medicine and a holistic approach to determine the root cause of illness and reverse chronic disease.
As a Functional Medicine physician, my philosophy is quite unique. I believe we all have the potential to heal from the inside out. However, our modern lives pose a threat to that natural healing capability. My practice style is focused on uncovering the root of your health issues, instead of just treating symptoms.
Grewal Center for Mind Body Medicine is an integrative and healing-oriented primary care practice. We believe there is no separation between mind, body, and spirit. Our philosophy guides our practice. We cultivate an empathetic and respectful partnership with each patient to help him or her discover the most effective pathway to health, wellness, and overall improvement in quality of life.
Dr. Grewal is a board certified family medicine physician and certified by the Institute of Functional Medicine. She has been practicing medicine since 2009. Her practice style is inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi. Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese art where the broken pieces of shattered pottery are rebuilt using gold lacquer resulting in exquisite stoneware. This philosophy results in embracing ones imperfections as one strives towards perfection. She believes just like the shattered pieces of pottery, there exists a broken relationship between doctor and patient, she hopes to mend this relationship in her private practice.
Dr. Grewal graduated cum laude from University of Debrecen, Hungary. She completed her internal medicine internship at Loyola Medical Center, Chicago, IL. Her Family medicine residency training was completed at Duke University/Southern regional AHEC. Dr. Grewal is certified in Functional medicine via the Institution of Functional Medicine.
She enjoys practicing meditation, weight training, yoga, cooking and spending time with her beloved kids and husband.
